Indoor Parade of Vehicles, Celebrities, Broadway Stars, Designers and Hometown Heroes take the New York Auto Show ‘Back to the Future’ at this Year’s Auto Show Opening Ceremony

Saturday, April 8th - 9am

Comedian Tracy Morgan will lead an indoor parade of today’s hottest new cars and trucks, as well as cast from Broadway’s newest sensation, U.S. Marine Corps brass band, and the bell of the 2023 Oscars, teen design sensation Bed Sty’s Amira Dior, will help transport the crowd at the New York Auto Show Back to the Future, at the Auto Show’s Opening Ceremony on Saturday, April 7th at 9:00 at the Javits Center.

The indoor vehicle parade features a range of high-performance sports cars, vintage automobiles, custom rides and whisper quiet electric vehicles. The 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band will provide musical entertainment and perform the National Anthem. Local First Responders from NYPD, FDNY, and EMS will also be on hand in honor of the Show’s first-ever “First Responders Day (Wednesday, April 12).

WHAT: New York Auto Show Opening Ceremony

  • Perennial crowd favorite and Brooklyn legend Tracy Morgan will add his special charm to help entertain the crowd along with a parade of the latest hot electric cars from the show floor
  • Cast from the upcoming award-winning ‘Back to the Future’ Broadway musical will pop out of the iconic DeLorean’s gullwing door.
  • 14-year-old Brooklyn-based designer Amira-Dior Traynham-Artis, whose Lane 1 sneakers were the hottest item in this year’s Oscars goodie bag, will be on hand to help kick the Show into high gear 
  • Local NY First Responders including NYFD, NYPD and EMT will also be on hand
  • 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band will perform
